When it comes to drawing, I rely on a combination of briefs and references. Even with a solid foundation in creativity, having only one brief or reference can be limiting, as creativity is such a vast field. Collecting multiple references and combining them with a strong brief ensures that the final result aligns more accurately with the client’s expectations.
Flexibility
What I find unique about vector and illustration skills is their versatility—they can be applied in so many situations. I use this flexibility to encourage my clients to explore visual solutions tailored to their needs. After all, images tend to be more memorable than text.
Outcome
Many of my projects have been completed with a touch of vector or illustration work. I consider these skills essential for any graphic designer, as they often add that extra element needed to bring a project to life.
